Yeast Culture Supplement
Also known as a direct fed microbial, Yea-Sacc® 1026 is a natural horse digestion supplement based on viable (or live) yeast culture, Saccharomyces cerevisiae which was researched and selected by Alltech, Inc. for promoting the best possible digestion in the large intestine and cecum (acting as a probiotic). It helps stabilize the gut pH, thus reducing a variety of related problems such as colic, laminitis and diarrhea. The stable gut environment also increases the number of beneficial flora (bacteria) which helps remove lactic acid from the gut.
The keys to choosing the most efficient yeast product for animals is strain and the yeast must be alive. Of all strains tested Yea-Sacc has been identified to be the most beneficial.
